Learning Centre
The Stallion Learning Centre was founded in 1998 where from the outset, our primary source of business operations was to train all incoming staff via the facility.
With natural evolution, our Learning Centre has developed itself into a world class training institution moving from offering Grade E to Grade C training to providing service in the security industry where we now offer fully accredited courses for the following:
- PSIRA training Grade E to Grade A
- Sasseta Learnership training security practices SPO1 and SPO2 over 2 months
- NKP (National Key point)
- Firearm training from basic to business purpose – handgun/rifle/shotgun/carbine
- Firearm Regulation 21
- First Aid – basic
- Firefighting – basic
- Riot training
- Basic Event training
- Event management
- Close protection Criminal Checks
- National qualification framework NQF1 to NQF10
The Stallion Learning Centre has provided training on Learnership programmes since 2015 and over the past 4 years, have provided these Learnerships to a collective 5400 incumbents, averaging more than 1300 new employees per annum. The programme has become our source of supply to our internal business units where the quality of training has allowed us to have far superior Security Officers entering our business and into the industry.
The days where three weeks of training to qualify as a Security Officer, for us as a business are long gone and having the exceptional training over three months has changed our Security Officer entry to business massively. The fact that we train all these staff to a minimum of Grade C, place them onto the Sasseta Security Practices and provide each incumbent with immediate employment opportunities during and after the Learnership for us is a major success story in the amount of quality we have once they are trained.
Each incumbent is paid by us to train and once they move into the field are paid as fully fledged Grade C personnel. It is worthy to note that the Stallion Learning Centre provides training and stipends to the value of aver R70 Million per annum, encapsulating our Group vision of skill upliftment. We are extremely proud of our Learnership programme and are as proud to place any of these staff members onto our client premises. The Stallion Learning Centre is not an internal training facility only and currently provide service to the external market for any of the listed training. We also provide service for non-accredited gap courses where we provide service to anyone who requires a recap of training they already have or wish to brush up on a few things. Some Companies prefer to have staff members do a refresher course for Graded Training and we have developed great course material for this purpose.
Our facility in Johannesburg is currently operated by 17 Facilitators with various training qualifications, headed up by a Managing Director, with a Training General Manager, PSIRA Training Manager, Criminal Check Manager, Sasseta Training Manager, a host of Administration staff and Recruiters.
We have accredited training facilities in Pretoria, Cape Town and Middelburg. We also provide service to any business that requires criminal checks. The Stallion Learning Centre has full accreditations with PSIRA for all related training in Security, Sasseta for Security Practices along with SAQA. We have 10 classrooms and at any given time have up to 300 students in our facility. Over and above this, we provide our own inhouse, non-accredited training for SDP (Supervisory Development Programme) and MDP (Management Development Programme) and are in the process of obtaining Services SETA accreditation where we are planning to offer these two courses with certification.
Our rates for training are geared more for training than for profit and therefore makes our training facility an amazing option to be trained at a quality level, in a quality environment for a more than competitive price.
