• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Electronics or related field. (Advantageous)
• Certified Security Technician (CST) or related certification (advantageous).

✅ Key Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas Will Include But Not Limited To:
• Install and configure electronic security system, such as CCTV cameras, access control system, alarm systems and motion detectors.
• Mount and position cameras, sensors and other security devices according to specifications.
• Program security systems, configure IP settings, and integrate them with monitoring software
• Connect, route and secure wiring, ensuring proper power supply and network integration
Maintenance & Repair:
• Perform routine maintenance checks on security electronics to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security devices, including faulty wiring, power issues or software failures
• Upgrade outdated hardware and software to improve system efficiency and security
• Conduct diagnostics on security systems to identify and resolve errors or malfunctions
System Testing & Quality Assurance:
• Test installed security systems to verify functionality and ensure proper coverage
• Conduct performance evaluations and calibrate equipment for efficiency
• Simulate security breaches to test alarm responsiveness and monitoring accuracy
Customer Support & Training:
• Provide guidance and technical support to clients on how to operate security systems
• Train end-users on system functionality, including arming/disarming alarms and reviewing surveillance footage
• Offer recommendations on system enhancements and security best practices
• Conduct site visits to inspect and test equipment.
Technical Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of Junior technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
• Conduct technical audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
